Our next edition of Waterways World arrived today. I was reading an article about someone who had their narrowboat spring a leak. They mentioned that they always carried a spare bilge pump.
Now that got me thinking about what spare parts you should keep on hand on your boat. Aside from a bilge pump!
I'm off on a mission to see what I can find out. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Our spare pump is a water system pump mounted on a board so we can use it in various places - it has an inlet pipe and outlet pipe. We also have a foot-operated pump available.

Spare cap for 'black water' cassette.
Our liveaboard friends have two spare toilet cassettes
A selection of spare ropes f various diameters and lengths.
A couple of meals that do not need water to prepare them

3 spare belts for each alternator
4 oil filters
4 fuel filters
4 air filters
1 water pressure pump
1 shower drain pump
2 bilge pumps
1 bow thruster prop
Obviously being in the business I am buying at a fraction of retail price, so to me it makes sense
