A day in port - Etruria

Still at Etruria
Total to date : 118 miles, 80 locks, 20 lift bridges, 7 tunnels, 6 aqueducts

The weather wasn't so pleasant today so it was a good day to stay in and work.  I had a couple of friends to chat to on Facebook first - was great to catch up and hear your news.

Mick went off to B & Q to buy up his list of things.  After lunch we went for a walk in the rain to the Wedgewood / Doulton factory outlet.  It's such a shame to see that most of the things for sale there were made in China or Thailand or somewhere similar.  It was nice to have a good look at everything though.

We checked out a trade workwear type place and walked a round about way back to B & Q to look at a few other things.  I came back to work some more, leaving Mick agonizing over the magnetic catches.

It rained most of the day but it's cosy in the boat with the heating on.  Actually, it wasn't all that cold and later in the day the temperature even went up a couple of degrees and hit 10 celsius.  We had an early dinner at The Toby Carvery - great value at only £5.99 each.  We still don't get the yorkshire pudding thing!

It's light enough along this mooring with the lights on the footpath opposite on the canal that we didn't even need to take a torch to dinner.  It's a very pleasant evening outside tonight.

We might have to move on tomorrow, the water tank is dwindling.
