Pick of the week - Lady Nada

From ABNB, this one's called nb Lady Nada.  We quite like it!  The green isn't a colour we would choose to paint a boat but we could live with it.
Anybody know anything about Keith Wood Narrowboats???

Hi Elly, Keith Wood narrowboats were based in Peterborough, but I believe the company was liquidated around 2006, the owner simply retired I think, so this will have been one of the last. Most documentation I have come across has the company down as shell fabricators, but I note the listing here states this one was also fitted out by the company. A fit out company called GWV narrowboats have a website here http://www.gwvboats.co.uk/ . If you look at the section on magazine articles, you will see a review of a boat called Four Winds, which had its shell built by Keith Wood. Interestingly, another boat in their list of reviews is Grumpy Git, which I think has appeared on your radar previously, but that shell is from a different builder. I quite like the apple green livery - it reminds me of the LNER Flying Scotsman (steam engine) http://www.nrm.org.uk/flyingscotsman . Regards Peter.

Hi Peter,
Thanks so much for the info. Mick remembers having a "flying scotsman" toy train as a child. We're really keen on this boat and with we could go now and buy it! Our current goal is March 2013. It's really not all that far away.

HI Guys
I met the chap who owns ABNB at the IWA show on Sunday, and what a decent honest guy he is, I mentioned buying a boat, sight unseen after getting it surveyed etc. Hid comment was that ne would not want to do it incase the boat wasnt up to my expectations when we arrived in the UK. Cant think of many brokers that would do that!
He also rides a Triumph motorcycle so we had a good old chat.
Off to see Caxton and crew tomorrow
