Pick of the week - Elisa

Here is one from Apollo Duck : nb Elisa

There isn't a huge amount of information on this advertisement and we'd have to ask many questions but this is a cheapie that we like the layout of.  I particularly like the idea of the second cabin - especially now that it looks like I'll have work to do.

There would be some money to be spent because we'd want to put in cupboards for storage and modify the second cabin to convert one side into a work space, plus upgrading the electrics.  Bit of a project for Mick!

The design on the side tells me that this is an ex-hire boat, from a now defunct company that had a base on the canal at Stratford, and (I think) on the Avon at Evesham. I would expect it to have had quite a hard life, and they never looked very well cared for. As it's Amber Boats, I would expect it to be Polish built.

Adam, thanks so much for the comment. It's knowledge like yours that we need!

We'll be looking at them in person in 4 months time and the browsing will be serious. I'll have to make sure I post our potentials in the hope of information just like this!

Thanks! Elly
