Adam from nb Briar Rose left a comment on the blog yesterday saying this mooring by bridge 86 was one of their favourites from their big cruise last year. I had a look at their blog for that period and couldn't believe it when I saw one of the photos they had taken.

We had a lovely sunset last night and the farmers cows came to graze beside the boat. Across the canal and just behind where we were moored must be one of the loveliest farm moorings I've seen. The folk keep it really nicely too.
There was only a short cruise to reach Congleton today.... again it was windy.... along such pretty canal. We cruised along a gold course, through lovely bridges, and for a lot of the journey protected by hedges from the wind. We moored after the turnover bridge in the basin there just before the aqueduct.
First job was a visit to Morrisons as we only bought fresh food the other day so we wouldn't have so much to carry back to the boat. It's not too bad a walk from the canal.... maybe 3/4 mile or so. It was pretty quiet in town on a Sunday. We've decided we'll stay here tomorrow night too so our cruising buddies can catch us up. Carol sent an SMS telling us to get the cards out. It's been a while.
