A lovely day!

Bridge 72 to Brewood : 8 miles, 1 locks
To date : 856 miles, 587 locks

Just to prove that yesterday was just a "one off", we had a lovely day today.

In the midst of our stressful afternoon yesterday my brother rang to say they were heading our way again.  Would we rather they come and find us that evening or will they stay overnight somewhere and find us in the morning.  In view of the mood at the time I opted for the latter.

This morning we headed off about 9am and so did Anthony and Leanne.  They parked their hire car at a pub in Brewood and walked the towpath towards us.  We collected them at bridge 7 (we turned into the Shroppie) and reached Brewood before midday.  We moored up and headed out in the hire car to show them our Winter home at Aston Marina.

We had a delicious lunch in the marina bistro, making use of the marina laundry for them to wash and dry their clothes while we ate.  We looked out for our marina buddies but there was nobody in evidence.  We checked out the farm shop, had a walk around the marina and then went to Morrisons in Stone for something for tonight's dinner.

Back onboard we watched the final of NZ Masterchef, had a bit of dinner and wiled away another couple of hours catching up.
